Following the success of the four previous I.FAST Challenge Based Innovation (CBI) events, a special edition will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from September 22 to October 1, 2026. It will be dedicated to applications of particle accelerators for society that could be of interest for regions such as the Balkans. 

Applications are welcome from senior bachelor's and master's students at European universities studying physics, medicine, engineering, materials science, environmental science, life sciences, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.

Applications from students outside these fields will also be considered if they demonstrate they can make a significant contribution to the challenge. Interest or experience in particle accelerators will be an advantage but is not required.
