Welcome to the log-awaited Issue #44 of Accelerating News!

Like every year, spring is full of major meetings for our community. In April, the I.FAST project met in Trieste for its annual meeting to discuss superconducting applications amongst other topics. Also in Italy, in May, the 2023 edition of IPAC brought together the accelerator community to discuss the major trends in our sector. Finally, FCC Week was held in London in June.

This year, the community welcomed two new EU-funded projects coordinated by CERN. The HEARTS projects aims at providing access to high-energy heavy ion radiation testing facilities for space exploitation and space exploration. On the other hand, the MuCol design study will help selecting the next large collider to be built in Europe.

The editors invite to browse the new issue and learn more about all the last developments in the particle accelerator community.
